Background
Stono Public Affairs is a New Jersey firm that helps communities focus and prioritize their needs. Work like that depends on trust and on listening closely to the people it serves.
Stono was looking for a communications partner it could trust: one that understood its audience as well as it understands its own work. Together we set out to give the firm a website that reflects its standing and its care for the communities it serves, a professional hub and public face that carries forward nine existing pages, with a design, structure, and About section built in close conversation with the Stono team.
Communities and prospective clients get to know a firm through the people behind it, the events it takes part in, and the way it shows up in public. A website that reflects that record accurately helps the right people find the firm, understand it, and feel confident reaching out.
For a firm whose purpose is helping communities decide what matters most, being understood is part of the work. Stono engaged e75 as a strategic partner for this: we listened first, then built a public presence in a voice Stono’s audience recognizes.
Strategy
The thinking behind the work
We approached the website as Stono’s public face rather than a brochure: a welcoming place for community leaders, prospective clients, and the media, shaped by a close understanding of who each of them is and what they are looking for, and one that reflects Stono’s standing as a thought leader in New Jersey.
People came first. A much stronger About section, with room for full biographies and content organized by tag, lets visitors get to know the people behind the firm and follow the issues, events, and coverage connected to them.
Brand, copy, and content were handled as one system. The same voice and visual standard run through the website, social media tone, press clippings, and event coverage, so every touchpoint reinforces the same picture of the firm.

Phases, from discovery to launch
1
Domain, swapped in a single day
The same care we bring to a K-12 school district, building the structure and standards that let an institution speak consistently, took a different register here. A firm that helps communities focus and prioritize their needs speaks with community leaders, clients, and reporters at once, so we leaned on listening: authority, relationships, and a visible record of engagement, in a voice Stono’s audience recognizes as its own.
Execution
How it came together
Discovery & Migration
Began by listening: reviewed the existing website and the firm’s logo imagery to develop an art direction for the refresh, and inventoried the nine existing pages so their content could be carried into the new structure.
Design & Structure
Created design concepts from the project brief, the art direction, the imported content, and elements from peer organizations in neighboring states, resulting in a modern design and a clear sitemap built around a stronger About section.
Brand & Content Cohesion
Orchestrated cohesive design and copy across web content, social media tonality, press clippings, and accurate event coverage, strengthening the firm’s brand identity at every point the public meets it.
Event Media & Social
Built an online photo and media repository from Stono events that serves as RSVP collateral beforehand and as event synopses afterward, and added a social media feed embed so the site reflects the firm’s current activity.
Approval, Launch & Support
Walked the Stono team through mockups and refined the design together until it felt right, then coordinated a brief nameserver update so the new site replaced the old one under the same stonopa.com domain on launch day. After launch, e75 keeps the site updated, consistently formatted, and checked for search visibility, as part of an ongoing partnership.
Results
What changed
- A refreshed, fully functional website on the firm’s own domain, launched through a coordinated same-day swap under stonopa.com.
- Nine existing pages carried into a modern design and a clearer sitemap, built around the way visitors actually look for a firm like Stono.
- A stronger About section with space for biographies and tagged content, giving the people behind the firm a visible, connected presence.
- An events archive that does double duty as RSVP collateral and post-event summary, plus an ongoing partnership that keeps the site current after each event.
